The Wilds of Casa de Melodia
Racoons

D E S C R I P T I O N
When we first moved to our current home in Encinitas we had a lot of visiting wildlife - coyote, bobcat, oppossum, racoon, woodrats, rabbits, squirrels and a lot bird species. Many of these creatures vanished as nearby development reduced habitat and corridors. However, over the last few weeks (May 2012) we have once again been visited by some of our old friends including coyote, bobcat and even a couple racoons that decided to climb a pine in our back yard to take a snooze. When I hear the crows making a fuss I can usually predict that some predator is moving through the area. Here is some video of our visiting racoons.
